Squire Benjamin William Sullivan stood in the middle of Light’s Hope Chapel in his underpants.

Actually, it was white linen pants and a shift, but the effect was approximately the same. The little chapel was warm, on the edge of …

anna6Continuing off of last Wednesday’s post about what your characters wear for RP/hanging around in a tavern/etc, I thought I’d introduce a few more.

But first – since you asked so nicely:

Annalira, in her tankini *grins*

This particular outfit is a Barbaric Linen Vest, a Barbaric Loincloth, and some Knitted Sandals.  The first two are green drops in lowbie areas, and I had some trouble tracking down the loincloth.  There are similar outfits in brown and dark blue (I think?), but I’ve always thought purple suited her skin tone and hair.

Ok – from left to right we have:

  1. Angoleth, my hunter, in her Earthborn Kilt and Sentinel’s Breastplate.  She also never shows her shoulder – it’s rather unpleasant looking still – so she usually has some kind of shirt on underneath (in this case, just a plain white one).  She’s pretty low maintenance, and really only keeps one or two outfits around.
  2. Annorah, in her Starry Robes of the Crescent – I picked this up because it just seemed to suit her personality so well, being that she’s very into the elements/elementals, and it was just so elegant looking for her.
  3. She also rather likes this combo (Haramad’s Leg Wraps and the Whispering Tunic).  Both are quest reward pieces in Outland, though, so a little harder to get.  She also wears an assortment of the typical “shoulderless” Draenei robes, but those are pretty common.
  4. And finally (for today) Annylais, my ragamuffin druid.  A simple white swashbucklers shirt, Bluegill Breeches, and those Knitted Sandals again.  The Breeches were quite a find for me, since I wanted something that would look practical and a little scruffy.   I managed to take the screenshot poorly, but they have leather lacing up the sides as well.  She does *have* a Traditional Hanbok… but it’d have to be a wedding or a funeral to get her to wear it.

I happen to think that the knitted sandals are some of the best “sandal” footgear in the game, especially since they’re purchasable off of any low level cloth vendor.

I like to think you can see a little of the various personalities in the outfits of the characters I’ve shown you so far (and yes, I know nearly all of them wear robes).  Angoleth is simple and looking for comfort; Annorah likes a certain degree of elegance; Annalira likes hats (and matching); Annylais couldn’t care less.

The only character I have that doesn’t really match up with her clothing tastes is Aelflaed, who is low maintenance, not fussy, accident prone… and absolutely *loves* pretty, shiny armor that matches.  It’s her weakness, really.  She’s got more clothes than anyone else I have, and she’s not even started collecting instance gear yet.

Eventually she wants to get the Purple Judgement set – the recolored tier 2 paladin set that drops in various Outland instances.  I’ll let her take over tomorrow and show off some more of her goodies.

  1. Pfffft…sure, everyone wants to see the Annas in some sort of skimpy outfit. What about the menz out here representing. Come on, I am 100% USDA Certified Angus and not one peep about me cowly prowess.

  2. The starry robes look wonderful! I’ll have to look into getting Desdarii one.

And thank you for the swimsuit. I’ll have to get one and throw a guild beach party to show it off!

  3. this post is fantastic.
it has really never occurred to me to get Greta some pretty gear or to think about what she would like to wear… I do love her helm and I’ll be sad to see it go… hm.

    (clearly not a roleplayer)

  4. I love collecting outfits (and I don’t even RP) but sooner or later my bagspace hates me and I have to get rid of things.

I’ve spent hours playing in ModelViewer making outfits though. :p

  5. I LOVE the outfit posts! Keep ‘em coming! (There should be a blog of WOW fashion…)
