Squire Benjamin William Sullivan stood in the middle of Light’s Hope Chapel in his underpants.

Actually, it was white linen pants and a shift, but the effect was approximately the same. The little chapel was warm, on the edge of …

Introducing: Annata Calderaro

That’s right – another Anna to join the fold.

I’m now able to run two WoW accounts (due to some fortuitous and star-aligned happenings), and so it’s possible for me to add in new characters again. I’ve previously been running with 10 characters on Feathermoon – and now I have my eleventh!

annata16

Solidly built and capable looking, Annata appears to be in her mid thirties. Her hair is thick and wavy, and while still mostly black, is starting to grey at the temples. Her eyes are deep set and dark brown.

Annata is a rogue (and currently level 16 – woo!) Being a low level rogue is difficult, especially since my most recent leveling endeavors were a prot warrior, a ret paladin, and a feral druid. (I’m used to being a LOT less squishy). Still, stealth is hax, and I’m having a lot of fun sneaking around and stealing stuff completing quests.

From a character perspective, Annata is a master poisoner (and she’s an herbalist accordingly) – so I’ll probably be taking her into the Assassination tree for all of the fun poison talents. Probably. For now, I’m still working on getting my “please don’t see me while sneaking” and “please let my offhand actually hit once in awhile” talents. She’s a Stromgarde citizen (or was) and a low ranking associate of Ravenholdt.

I’ve not yet gotten to do a lot of actual RPing with her, since the Riders have been pretty busy lately, so I’ve been around with Aely a lot more than anyone else. Hopefully I’ll get some time to explore the character – I’d really like for her to meet some of the rest of the crew, as she’s a little more … shall we say … morally fluid. (Which makes her more unusual in my character set, and I’m REALLY looking forward to exploring that aspect of WoW.)

PS: LFG DM

PPS: Calderaro is a medieval Italian surname for Cauldron maker. Annata’s former husband was a blacksmith, and she is a master poisoner. (No, she didn’t kill her husband. She’s from Stromgarde, and he was killed in one of the many invasions there.)

  1. So much envy! I, too, have had ten characters on FM for quite awhile now, and would absolutely love to have a second account, but my stars are not in that particular alignment at present. Ah well. (I’m still holding out hope that Blizz will relent and give us a couple extra slots come Cataclysm.)
Rogue is one of my favorite classes to play, and yet the thought of leveling one from start to finish is pretty daunting. (I’ve had a second rogue stalled out around level 40 for several years now.) Their squishiness and lack of self-healing abilities can present quite the challenge. But stealth definitely compensates for a lot… nothing like being able to sneak past a bunch of mobs to your quest target. Sap is pretty awesome, too.

  2. I think, if they should ever meet, that Annata and Kal would get along pretty well. And rogues are really fun, even with the squishy factor.

  3. I never felt as if my rogues were very squishy. Blade flurry and Adrenaline Rush are life-savers if more than two mobs try to beat you up. Two mobs? Sap one, kill the other and then get back to that sapped one.
I also love that I can pick and choose my fights thanks to stealth. :)

From a roleplaying perspective, I love how versatile the rogue can be roleplayed. My Belf rogue is a con-artist, my gnome rogue is a spy who loves to blow things up with a variety of gadgets.

  4. @Chadrassa – That’s all very well and good… but I have neither Blade flurry nor Adrenaline Rush. I have Evasion, Sinister Strike, Backstab, Eviscerate, Gouge, and Slice-n-Dice. That’s it. >.> Not even Ambush :) So I’m squishy. I don’t have the life saving tools right now (other than Lifeblood Rank 1 from being an herbalist).

I do, however, have a pair of buzzer blades I need to get enchanted :D That helps!

  5. Pitch does enchanting…..

And yes, I hope you can bring her around to meet people soon. She sounds like a lot of fun. Two accounts /are/ fun, except I’m starting to fill up both of mine already. >.>

  6. I hear there’s this broken-down old rogue that can sometimes be found in the bars of Stormwind. Sometimes he’ll even give a lesson or two in how to become an old rogue.

  7. @Khol – He should come by the Pig and Whistle on Tuesday night. Or he should let me know when to go meet up with him. ;)

  8. I know exactly what you mean about having full character slots on a server, and I’m glad I’m not the only one who has resorted to two accounts to get more character slots! Unfortunately, my second account is starting to fill up as well. Even though there is a new recruit-a-friend reward, I am fairly certain I would not be able to afford three accounts at all times. Let’s hope they add more character slots!

  9. Every class seems to have a fun little “trick” to them that makes them interesting to level. As you go about Roguing, remember that you can slip into spots you’d otherwise have no business being in–this can be particularly entertaining with “retrieval” quests that don’t necessarily involve killing anything.
