Blue Post on Developing RP
Nethaera tackles some tough questions about the development side of RP, as well as the way RP interacts with the rest of the WoW crowd. It’s a good read, especially on the point that in the end, RP is what you make of it – whatever kind of RP that might be – and that no matter how much the developers put into the game, its up to the individual roleplayers to actually turn the game content into player content.

I cannot imagine how difficult it must be, being a Blizzard CM, with the amount of complete crap that gets hurled around on those forums.
And it makes me /headdesk that apparently there was an RP outcry against the forum April Fools, which were freaking brilliant.
Why, WHY do people take themselves so damn seriously?
Anyway. Nethaera indeed makes excellent points. Looking at the big picture, RP servers aren’t bad as they are, and we’ve got the power to report the people who like to be irritants, when such things do crop up. Fun as WoW can be as a game, I would have left a long, long time ago without the RP factor, even if it isn’t a totally dominating server-wide force.
