So, some of you may have noticed the twitter widget over in my sidebar. What is twitter, you ask? Well, there are a few people that have explained it waaaay better than I can, but, in short, twitter is like microblogging.

Tweets are tiny, 140 character updates that happen between blog posts (which, if you’ve noticed, usually happen between 8 and 10am Central Time (GMT -6) around here). I use a program called Twhirl to update, but other programs exist (including TwitBin, a firefox plugin).

Matticus just posted about WoW Bloggers on Twitter – go check it out! And, if you like, you can follow me on twitter! Just be warned that sometimes I tweet about non-wow stuff.  *gasp!*

  1. I should really start using Twitter again…

  2. So, I see that you use WordPress like I do, so how do you get twitter to work properly? My updates aren’t showing up like they should be. I had to use the RSS feed trick to get Twitter up there in the first place (since Wordpress doesn’t properly support Twitter).

    Are you doing anything special?

  3. I use the twitter plugin for wordpress that I downloaded from here:

it’s not perfect – sometimes it’s a little hard to read, but it does update properly. You’ll have to put it straight in the plugins folder, not the widgets folder, for 2.5 wordpress. I”m kind of on the lookout for a new one though. :)
