Don’t Stand in the Fire
The more TRI explores Tempest Keep the more I like the instance. Granted, it’s been a bit gimmicky as a resto shaman – my entire strategy in there is (quite literally) “don’t stand in fire, spam chain heal”. In a lot of cases, it doesn’t even really matter what I spam chain heal at. Just spamspamspam, because there’s so much random raid damage.
Then last night we fought Al’ar for the first time.
I think my opinion of Phase1 Al’ar is going to be similar to my opinion of Leotheras, except that Al’ar is a lot prettier. Which is to say, I am a useless waste of space.
Fortunately, once phase 2 started up, things picked up a bit. We had some issues with the adds (just figuring out how/where to tank them), but I fully expect to see him toasted next week. We figured out the “don’t stand in the fire” bit for Solarian, and last night the problems were really add-based and not positioning based in phase 1, so I think we’ll have a hang of “don’t stand in fire” for next week. Personally, I’d like to head back in and see if we can’t take him tonight, but the higherups have decided that there’s a water elemental, a fish thing, a demon possessed angry-elf, a giant farting dwarf, and a pack of Naga that need to die in SSC tonight (with possibly a few attempts on Lady Snakehair Herself).
