Funny thing about Amber's post is, I just made a post like that on my blog a couple days ago. Mine was kinda run-on, though, Amber said it much better. >.>

I'm on Horde and Alliance both, and at one point I was raiding 2-3 nights a week on Horde, then another 2 on Alliance. I didn't last long. Haven't been on Horde for ages now, and I've been kinda hiding from my Alliance guild as well lately. But hey, I've been having fun on Feathermoon, so... /shrug

I don't see the LoH thing as being that big a deal, honestly. I tend to use it on myself when I tank and while I could see the concern on say something like Heroic Beats, most of the time I don't bubble myself while tanking because it also drops threat.

And you always have to look at how much you are raiding. And remember to take breaks.

@Linedan - other than Hand of Protection, it doesn't really mess with other tanks? Which means that this particular mess affects 1 of the 4 tanking classes without affecting the others.

If it equally affected all tanking classes, it would be less bad, since it'd be more of a nerf to Holy Pallies overall. As it is, it particularly penalizes Paladin Tanks with Paladin Healers - and since Holy Paladins are still specialized towards tank healing... it's kind of badsauce.

I realize this will particularly screw over paladin tanks, since if someone LoHes them it will break their own bag of stay-alive tricks. What about warrior/druid/DK tanks? What else beside HoP does this break? Does this hose over other classes' oh-shit buttons (priests mainly) on non-paladin tanks?

As for ToC, I'm in 100% agreement. One room, five fights, four or more times a week? Uh...yeah. Bring on Icecrown plox. Although I do want to get Lin in a 10-man so I'm running ToC twice in a week (as opposed to just his 25 now). Twice, I can do. Four or more? Not so much. You're a better gamer than I, Gunga Anna.

Honor makes a good point, and frankly I suspect this is a scenario the devs didn't really consider. Either that, or they're putting it in the PTR to see just how much it trips up paladin healers healing paladin tanks. My guess is they'll see people having a lot of trouble with it on the PTR and will decide to put forebearance on the caster instead.

As far as raiding issues go, it sounds like you need to take a week or two off. Granted, my guild is "business casual" (i.e., we don't recruit or slot raiders based on class, spec, or performance, but we do raid with some regularity), but we've had people take a little time off here and there lately when they get busy IRL, get sick of raiding, or just want to unplug for a while. We just got a bunch of people back this week who'd left for a spell. You could stay off Wow or just stop raiding and do something else: get some Argent Tourney swag, do more RP, try out PVP, or level your alts.

I'm sure your guild has healers who can pick up the slack.
