So! I have been keeping a secret from you guys.
Ok, it’s not really THAT much of a secret. A few weeks back one of the editors for WoW.com contacted me about writing a guest post.
It’s live today, and you can read it here.
The hardest part about doing this was definitely the word count. I had another point I wanted to make, and was already 200 words past my limit. Oops! Everything else about the process was quite painless, and I’m pretty pleased to see my work tagged around at other places. It’s kind of a cool thing as a writer.
I hope you enjoy the post, and I’ll have a Friday post up here a little bit later.
If you’re visiting here from WoW.com for the first time via my post today, welcome and hello!
P.S. I didn’t choose the image of Rhonin as the header for the article (I forgot to choose an image. Oops again!), but it cracked me up when I saw it. Tee hee hee.

Hey folks, Anna here. I’m going to let Aely have some space on the blog again today, to talk a little bit about Totally Raids, Inc. Seems they’re in need of a bit of help, and she thought maybe posting something about it here would be useful.
Aside from that, I’ll let Aely tell you the rest.
So ye saw a poster, eh, an’ came t’ see wha’ this bit ay adventurin’ company’s all about yeh? Fair eno’.
Lemme make a few introductions ‘en.
Th’ fellow o’er ay th’ table wi’ th’ hat an’ daggers? Tha’s th’ Boss – Tarquin ap Danwyrith. He’s th’ ruffian wha’ started this whole endeavor, an’ ye’d best do nae t’ cross ‘im. Also, ‘s a fair magnificent hat, yeh? Dinna touch it, air yir like t’ lose yir fingers.
Th’ bear next t’ th’ table, tha’s Calen’braga. He’s in charge ay maths, strategy, an’ keepin’ abreast ay all th’ proper numbers fir this ragtag bunch. An’ yeh. He’s a bear. Smarter ‘n yir average bear, I ‘spose. Druids’re like ‘at, y’ken. He also eats people. Dinna min’ that part, a’right?
Th’ dwarf wi’ th’ … <counting> fourteen empty tankards? Tha’s Zalbuu Zakfert. He’s th’ one officially in charge ay healin’, beer, an’ bein’ an angry beard. He keeps th’ usual folks healed though, an’ I canna say I’d wan’ fir a better partner in keepin’ folk alive an’ runnin’.
Th’ elf wi’ th’ funny accent, tha’s Belphegor. He’s a whole bloody stable ay pets, an’ is generally in charge ay keepin’ things full ay bullet holes. Th’ pet we see most ‘s Fang – big brown bearish sort, eats all kin’s ay shite an’ has th’ worst wind I’ve e’er smelt. Also, Belph’s th’ one wha manages all th’ treasure, rewards, cash, an’ other sundries we maun fin’ along th’ way.
Th’ other fellow, th’ one lurkin’ in th’ corner wi’ th’ funny glowy eyes? Tha’s Uthas. He’s a righ’ bastard, an’ in charge ay makin’ sure Tiforis dinna blow th’ whole raid intae nex’ week. Th’ folks in close, wi’ daggers an’ axes an’ swords, they’re his problem. He talks real nice too.
An’ me? ‘m Aely. Dame Aely Larsdottir if ye wan’ th’ proper title, but if ye take t’ callin’ me that, I’ll make sure t’ lock ye in a divine bubble ay a real inopportune time. I manage personnel, paperwork, an’ healers. An’ apparently talkin’ t’ new recruit like folk.
Anyroad, what wir needin?
- Ranged DPS – specifically Mages, Shamans (Elemental, Resto offspec = bonus points), Druids (Balance, Resto offspec = bonus points), Shadow priests
- General Subs – we’re usually stacked with melee and have no tanking shortage currently.
If yir in one ay those fields, we maun ha’ a space fir ye.
I canna promise anythin’ proper jus’ th’ yet, ’cause our roster changes each week. Wir usually found knockin oan th’ doors ay Icecrown on Thursday an’ Friday evenin’s, fra 5:30 until 9:00 (Th) air 10:00 (Fri) Azeroth Standard time. Righ’ now wir workin’ oan Arthas’ wee Frostwyrm girlfriend, Sindragosa. Makin’ solid progress too.
These spots’re mos’ly jus’ fir substitutes jus’ th’ now, ’cause we’ve go’ a proper complement ay regular folks wha’ we ken.
We look fir folk what ha’ a proper bit ay gear – e’en th’ badge stuff – experience wi’ raidin’ in general, good skills an’ ability t’ nae stand in bad shite, an’ a good attitude. Totally Raids is a longstandin’ group, an’ we dinna much tolerate folks bein’ dickish.
Dickish folk get fed t’ th’ bear.
An’ he’s alwis hungry.
As some/many of you know, I’m a healing/personnel officer for TRI, an RP friendly raid on Feathermoon server that happens on Thursday and Friday evenings from 5:30 – 9 (Th) or 10 (Fri) Pacific time (Feathermoon is a US RP-PVE server in the Pacific timezone). We’re in need of healers, ranged DPS (specifically mages, elemental shamans, balance druids, and shadow priests), and other general subs – and we are primarily looking for sub spots right now, with the option to become “regulars” later on. Currently we’re working on Sindragosa, in ICC-25.
Information about TRI and How to Apply:
First, register at TotallyRaiding.com. You’ll need it to finish the process. A moderator should approve your application in a fairly timely fashion, unless you apply at some ungodly hour. Please use a name by which we’ll recognize you (your character name would be a good start if you’re unsure), and use an email that you’ll check in case we want to make sure that you’re a real person.
Next, read this list of very long posts. No, there’s not a quiz at the end so you could skip it, but I guarantee it will end up biting you in the ass, particularly if you skip the parts about loot and addons.

No post from me today – I’ve got a pretty good case of Real Life on my hands. However, there’s a brilliant post over at WTT:RP about what it takes to GM a big RP event, and how to go about planning something that will affect a whole lot of players without a) giving up your story or b) pissing everyone off.
A Peek Behind the Curtain (part 1)
As usual, Falconesse is setting up a fantastic post series that I’m greatly looking forward to reading. (If you didn’t know, Falconesse and Bricu are both officers of my guild – the Wildfire Riders – so getting to see the inner workings behind a really awesome and recent RP event is pretty spiffy.)
I’ll see you guys a little bit later this week!

(Aely still doesn’t like Noblegarden – particularly the Shake your Bunny-maker achievement. It’s a slightly-updated repost, yes, but THE EARS HAVE ALREADY STARTED. BWUH.)
A’righ. I’m fecking sorry, bu’ ye’ve gotta be kiddin’ me. I mean realleh? I’m na yir feckin’ bunneh. I dinnae wan’ yir damn ears.

So dinna totter ‘long aftir me, waitin’ fir yir damn ears t’ cooldown so ye can throw ‘em at me. ‘Skeevy as hell. Laigh’ – y’ever had sommat follow ye ’round tryin’ t’ take advantage of ye? Trus’ me – ‘s na a nice feelin’. I dinna follow ye ’round makin’ skeevy comments ’bout th’ size’ ay y’r nuts, ayeh?
Lemme put this to ye straigh’. I’m a bloody Paladin. Laigh’ worshippin’, woman ay some virtue. I’m nobody’s bunnehmaker – an’ I sure’s hell ain’ yirs.

I’m na yir feckin’ bunneh.
So piss off, ayeh?
