It didn’t take long to get from Thunder Bluff to the Echo Isles – Ankona took advantage of a wyvern so she could think and plan before getting to her destination. She had information to confirm with the spirits – was Gromnor dead? Was he really in the northern part of the Eastern Kingdoms, somewhere […]

Wait, it’s Monday again?

  1. Aelflaed is just shy of 76, Annorah just shy of 75.  Hopefully both will level up today, if I don’t get wtfpwnt by responsibility first.
  2. Thanksgiving is fun, but getting back to the swing of things post a week of vacation is not so much fun.
  3. Being one of the people that took Thanksgiving to spend time with family (where I couldn’t do anything at all WoW related) means I’m way behind now, instead of just a little bit behind.
  4. I’m sorry if you are short healers.  I’m going as fast as I can.  If you’d like, you could come help me run instances for XP instead of complaining about pugged healers that you brought to your most recent 10 man runs.
  5. I’m working on some Annorah RPness – which has been more difficult than I thought.  She’s got an excellent backstory and had a lot of motivation for Burning Crusade, but finding it for Northrend is a little more difficult.  Possibly the Titans? She’s also not got a concrete personality, which adds to difficult.
  6. Amphitheatre of Anguish is entirely Too Much Fun.  Also, you get a nice weapon at the end.  I don’t remember Circle of Blood being anywhere near as entertaining as doing Amphitheatre.
  7. NaBloPoMo is officially over today, and I can’t say I’m going to miss it – between illness and funerals, I wasn’t able to keep up even for the first week.  Maybe I’ll try again for December, but we’ll see what happens.
  8. Since you didn’t get a Sunday Screenshot yesterday (oops!) here’s a Monday one instead.  This one is wallpaper sized if you click on the image, so feel free to enjoy!

  1. Your screenshot makes me realize I need a new video card. Wait, I have the best card I can get for my old pc. Your screenshot makes me realize I need a new PC.

So true. Can’t tell ya how many times I got complaints for leveling too slow when they needed tanks too.

  3. @Jagerbombz: I suppose I shouldn’t tell you that this isn’t turned all the way up either (I’ve had some FPS issues lately). Though I will admit to some Photoshop contrast adjustments to make it look nicer – this is *not* straight out of monitor.

  4. @Veneretio: it’s been more of an undertone for me, which worries me – hopefully people won’t level a pile of healers and we’ll end up with so many that I end up respeccing DPS or something.

  5. There is an awesome quest line in Storm Peaks. It involves the Titans and Keepers and other things. There’s more to it as well, but I don’t want to give anything away. It may be just what you are looking for in terms of RP.

I think it starts in Frost Hold. There are a few pre-quests to open it up.

You aren’t quite high enough to do it yet, but once you get to 77 or so you should do ok. It is by far my favorite quest line yet.

  6. “Annorah RPness”

I know its probably not the best way to change a character but I wanted to relate a story to you. This may give you an idea as to how your Anna’s end up in Northrend and the personality that entails after they enter new lands.

Before my parents were married they lived in a small house. They were pretty poor and moved a lot. Where ever there was work for my dad, my mom did follow.

One day, my dad had to go on yet another business trip. They said their goodbyes after a kiss and hug I’m sure. My mom seemed content and still happy.

About a mile down the road my dad realized he’d forgotten something and turned back.

He came upon the house and entered to find my mom crying as she sat on the sofa.

“This is the last you will ever see me cry.” She said.

And she never did again. As she gave birth to me and my brother, my father was helpless. She didn’t need him nor did she shed a tear. I’ve never seen her use any sort of emotion other than the usual blank look she keeps on her face. Very cool and unobserving.

That one moment, something changed in her.

(I look forward to hearing the Anna’s stories in Northrend!)

  7. You are not nearly as behind as me. With all the medical crap, I never did log into Cylinn and start leveling her.

So true. SO true. I keep apologizing for not being resto, but I REFUSE to level in that spec. No way. Not ever again. x_x

  11. @Salanthe:

and I’m leveling 40 points Resto – I am perfectly capable of healing most instances with an adequately geared tank/DPS. I’m just not 80 yet.
