The Little Post that Couldn’t
Today was supposed to be a UI post.
It tried very hard. It even logged in this morning hoping to get some good screenshots. It updated its mods – even waiting in the download queue.
Sadly, the servers are down. The downloads are slow. And this little UI post just didn’t make it. Maybe next week though!
My new UI Addons:
Bug Grabber/Bug Sack, Arkinventory, Atlas, AtlasLoot, Attrition, Clique, DeadlyBossmods, Dominos, DoTimer, ElkBuffbar, Enh Tooltip/Informant, EquipCompare, Fortress/DataBroker and plugins, Gathermate, GFW Faction Friend, Item Rack, Linkerator, Grid, Minimalist, Omen, OmniCC, PallyPOwer, PetEmote, Quartz, QuestGuru, QuesterJester, SCT, Skinner, Squeenix, TipTop, TotemTimers, and Xperl
UPDATE: UI Screenshot HERE!

Unless they have been updated in the past day or so, xperl and clique do not work. Well, Xperl did not work and thus clique would not work. I had to heal with the function keys and the number bar. I forgot how much addons simplified life.

@Jagerbombz:
I use XPerl only for the UF. I use Grid for raid frames, and as of last night (at least) Grid and Clique were both working. Clique has also been updated today.
Grid is working?? I got tons of error messages popping up last night. I ended up uninstalling it.
I guess I’ll try again…
@Kudrania:
It may not *still* be working – Feathermoon is down currently or I’d go poke it. It may also be arguing with another addon that you have which I don’t. The majority of problems I”ve had with addons (short of one that had no idea what to do with inscription, and so was causing the game to instantly close like I”d hit alt-F4) has been conflicts between them more than problems with the new game stuff.

Cool, I am going to check it out. I feel so vulnerable without my tools. Granted, the patch has gotten me to do a little house cleaning in the add on folder.

@Jagerbombz:
Grid has (unfortunately) a bit of a learning curve to it, and may not work – as I’m sre you can read the post above me
But so far it’s worked for me, and should be updating soon on WoWInterface – I hope! I started completely from scratch with this one, and so far am very happy with how it’s worked out.
Grid is working to my knowledge.
I updated it via wowmatrix app.
Dam bongos wasn’t workin which is my main mod so I switched to bartender since it seems like a well maintained mod. It has a lot of options.
Linkerator
Minimalist
OmniCC
QuesterJester
SCT
Squeenix
TipTop
omg what do all those mods do?
@Shammy:
I’m using Dominos, instead of Bartender 4, since Bartender wasn’t working two days ago – so far I’m happy with it, but its very very simple.
Linkerator is a loot link mod – it keeps a database of every thing you’ve seen and allows you to link it into chat (made by Gamik Fizzwidget). Minimalist is a chat interface/other stuff mod (that lets you, for instance, let your scroll wheel on your mouse scroll your in game chat window). OmniCC displays a cooldown number for your spells on your bar mod. QuesterJester puts your quest items in a little special expandable bar. SCT = Scrolling Combat Text, Squeenix is a minimap modifier that makes it square and gets rid of the junk, and TipTop is a tooltip mod that lets you move it around and change how the tooltips are displayed.
To everyone – if you have mod questions, feel free to email me – and keep in mind that I do have a big UI post coming!
w00t! Had some success last night. x-perl, clique, bartender4 and totem timers all worked. Too bad cycircled doest work with bartender4, I miss my fancy round buttons.
