Public Service Announcement: Phishing

Two other bloggers have been targeted today with Phishing scams (that seem to be relatively well crafted, as phishing scams go) – you can read about them over at World of Snarkcraft and Blessing of Kings.

Just a heads up to be aware of warcraft account related emails – and especially links within them.  Don’t click on the links, go to the www.worldofwarcraft.com site and log in from there.  Just because SOME of the links in an email look legit, that doesn’t make them all legit!  WoW accounts are a hot commodity today, so Remain Vigilant!  Also, snag an Authenticator if you get a chance.

  3. Thx for the heads up. Keepin my eyes open for an authenticator right now but only source seems to be Ebay. The link for the blizzard store is broken due to not having them in stock from what I hear. Not even sure if they are going to produce them anymore.
