Being an "older" player, I first came to WoW after years of playing board games and then floppy disk/cd rpgs.
The breadth and depth of WoW astounded me (and still does). Not growing up as a person of the computer-generation I do not take for granted the the world of WoW.
I was fascinated and excited to discover each new area. I laugh now, but remember the fear I had traversing Dustwallow the first time. So afraid of dying.
I don't like 25 person raids, though have done parts of Gruul's and Hyjal, and probably never will go into those areas. I look forward to the 10 person options in the expansion. Solo or guild, main or alt - I really enjoy my time..... though I have had bad experiences in pugs - left in too many instances to trust them anymore.

I find myself switching roles with Anna. I started my priest just past Christmas at release with no concrete plans. I never thought I'd reach 60, see the inside of MC, or ever earn Benediction ((now a trophy to pre-BC priests)). Then I found myself sub-healing and ultimately MT-healing full clears of BWL and downing several bosses in Naxx.

Now in BC, I find myself down 1 boss in SSC and 1 in TK, with no particular plans or progression into and past MH, BT, or ever to SWP. I've found it's always striking a balance between WoW and real life, and my time commitment and interest has varied over the last almost-4 years I've played. I do wish I could go back to the start of WoW, of the immense world that took forever to traverse and endless quests, lands, and sights.

If the game was perfect it would not be so involving. It is the unfairness that keeps us hooked.
Feel free to check out my blog at Wow Blogger and pass on any suggestions you may have! If you like it I would love a spot on your blogroll :)

I'm kind of in the same boat as I was pre-BC. I started BC having seen all of MC/ONY/ZG and the first half of BWL. Never set foot in Naxx.

Going to end Burning Crusade working through (and possibly finishing) Black Temple, but I don't see Sunwell in my future.

Wonder if this is common (raids are finding about the same amount of progression as they did in "vanilla wow")?

Similar to the "late vanilla" generation that experienced levelling to 60, but never got to raid eve onyxia's, let alone naxx, I find myself in the "late BC" generation that managed to get to 70, but will never set foot outside of 10-man raids before wrath is out.
