It didn’t take long to get from Thunder Bluff to the Echo Isles – Ankona took advantage of a wyvern so she could think and plan before getting to her destination. She had information to confirm with the spirits – was Gromnor dead? Was he really in the northern part of the Eastern Kingdoms, somewhere […]

  1. Annorah is 73, Aely is almost 75.
  2. I’m *very* glad I pushed with Aely to finish Wrathgate before the other characters got there, as it’s likely to produce some strong character development for her.  I’m not sure if that’s going to be her “back to holy” catalyst or not, but it definitely messed her up.
  3. Alexstrasza. kicks. ass.  Period.  Seeing her, there is no question that she is the dragon queen, whether in humanoid or draconid form.
  4. If you haven’t done Wrathgate yet, you really should – Alliance side, you can start it either in Westguard Keep (with a flight to Wintergarde) or Star’s Rest in the Dragonblight (also with a flight to Wintergarde).  For Horde it starts with a quest to talk to Mother Tauranook outside of Taunka’le Village in the Borean Tundra.
  5. Do not eat the seeds in Amberpine Lodge.  Just… don’t.
  6. After doing Wrathgate, Grizzly Hills has been a little disappointing – I’m hoping as I dig more into the Troll lore, I’ll be more enthused.  Seriously, after something that epic, going and fetching wild mustangs (while definitely cool) just doesn’t hold up. (let alone the bit with the seeds.  Really.  Don’t eat them.)
  7. Way too many poop quests.
  8. I’ve discovered a sure fire way to get your Heavy Frostweave Bandage book to drop.  Send 3 stacks of Frostweave (that you’d been saving for bandages) to a friend who is a tailor.  As soon as your friend turns all that cloth into bolts, your book will drop.  (Thanks Murphy).
  9. Doing random instances that you are decidedly too low level for is fun, especially when you win anyway.
  10. With Thanksgiving (US) this week, I’m not sure how much leveling time I’m going to get before next week, but we’ll see what happens.
  11. I’ve got some stuff written up for Aelflaed from just after Wrathgate, but I can’t post it yet.  It’s… burning a hole in my drafts box, as it were, but I don’t want to spoil anyone!

  1. 7. Way too many poop quests.

Seriously. The developers need to stop letting their two-year olds design the quests.

  2. 7. Poo quests

Agreed. Although I felt something was missing from the expansion until I found my first one. Now I have seen quite a few. I should put together a comprehensive poo quest guide and publish it as a pop-up book. Center-fold = the Grizzly Hills outhouse. (so far)

  3. No Yellow Snow Quests?

The occasional poop/pee/fart joke is fine. It breaks tension and its (almost) universal. That being said, it’s rather stupid.

  4. Running Wimzig through Hellfire Peninsula, I realize this wasn’t the first time they had poop quests. There’s a goblin near Thrallmar who asks you to kill hellboars while your companion is out. It will eat the corpse and you have to check the poop for the goblin’s keys.

Death Knights would not be amused at this.

  5. @krizzlybear:

And the ever famous talbuk poo quest where you sort for Nagrand Cherries…

and then are expected to eat them, because somehow they allow you to breathe underwater…

I also felt this way XD Having hit 74 though and starting to push into Zul’drak I may just skip Grizzly entirely aside from chain quests for Drak’tharon Keep.

Just want to get to Storm Peaks and Icecrown already =\

Thirded, Grizzly Hills is a verrryy nice environment and has amazing music but the feeling of story suffers greatly from quests being scattered amongst, what feels like, 30 different quest hubs.

Storm Peaks is one of the most awesome quest-line-based regions in my opinion and I’d recommend scooting there as soon as you can!

  8. Personally, I feel the horde is lacking in poop quests.

Others do not feel the same.

  9. And Anna, about wrathgate…

We are still waiting for a certain Loremistress to do Wrathgate.

I have Three posts burning holes in me.

We won’t even talk about Aside posts.

Mostly because Cylinn’s reaction to wrathgate would mostly be having fun killin stuff.
