If you’ve left me a comment recently, and it hasn’t shown up, please use the contact me form and let me know.  Akismet (my spam filter) has been returning some false positives, and sometimes I miss the real comments in the 100+ spam comments I get here daily.

  1. Anna, give Bad Behavior a try. It catches most stuff before it ever gets to Akismet, which means almost the only thing I see in Akismet are true spammers. And for some reason, Matticus & Bell always show up in the “Requires moderation” queue…wish I knew why.

    But Bad Behavior is actually very well behaved. :)

  2. It might be worth trying swapping Akismet out for the new Typepad AntiSpam (http://antispam.typepad.com). I’ve been running it on a number blogs (including WordPress ones) and I’ve yet to have a false positive.
