Bad things are happening in Stormwind – and beyond.

The Hand of Lothar, they call themselves.

Yva Darrows was their first target.

Tirith and Aely were their second and third.

They have since… expanded their reach and escalated their methods …

Meet Anrietta

Anrietta is my newest little character in my contingent of alts – another hunter. But! This little hunter is different.

I only play Anrietta when my husband is also playing his little dwarf hunter. This marks the first time that we’ve ever rolled alts that we play *together* – sure we raid together all the time, but these little guys are just for us. In fact, nobody knows about these alts but one close friend – so we’re on our own. No money, no nothing – kind of like it was the first time we played through the game. (I did cheat and send us some bags though, but that’s been our only concession so far)

We’re both leveling beastmastery (a new spec for me, a totally new class for him), and he has a boar pet named Harley and will soon have a ravager named Dennis. He says he wants to tame a giraffe and a moose, and is quite disappointed that they are not pet classes. I have a boar and a white, spotted Dun Morogh cat. In typical fashion, neither of my pets have names, because I can’t find one I like and want to keep for 70 levels. And unlike my other pet experiments, neither of these pets are found outside starting areas, so I’d have to retame AND relevel a new pet if I got tired of the name.

(If you have name suggestions, I’d be a very happy hunter. So far I’m drawing a total blank!)

We’re having fun playing together, re-exploring lowbie zones that we’ve done 10 times before, but never together or deliberately, and the levels go by quickly since we’re essentially a 4 man group all the time. We both hit level 20 last night, and are going to head over to Bloodmyst for a bit of level padding before we start the level 20 zones.

And it’s been a *blast*.

Literally.

Do you have any idea how much noise two dwarves with guns make in an enclosed space like the Deadmines?

    Hehe!

I remember how disappointed I was to find out that the Sprite Darters in Feralas were untamable. I would have rolled a hunter specifically for one of those.

  2. Tameable Giraffes would be awesome!

  3. When it comes to pet names, I find my tastes run to the very simple stuff. For example, I have a black-and-grey nightelf cat named Sable and a big, brown bear named Brun on my Hunter alt. I love them, and I find that their names evoke a simple sense of personality for each that suits them.

So maybe what I’m saying is don’t overthink the names? Just peer at your pet for a moment and see what pops into your head. :)

    Good luck,

  4. I think the white kitty with black spots may become “Spot” then.

  5. Or stripes for some flavor.

Your hunter looks like my hunter once looked before she was lost in the spirally void of /delete!

  6. I’m sorry but the name made me think of this:

  7. OH MY GOD ITS A DWARF FEMALE

  8. I was well past 60 before I ever saw the orc female dance. They seem to be about as rare as the dwarf females.

  9. All the pets I’ve ended up keeping were named immediately. It wasn’t so much thinking of names- more that they already HAD these names and I just had to write them down. Pretty bizarre, I know.

Also I had a blast psuedo-feraling you guys through Deadmines. Booms included.
