Dear BRK -

I’ve credited you with the reason I have a blog at all, and with the reason I have been able to resume playing my hunter.  Both creditable things, really, not to mention the amazing community you have and all the service that you’ve done for hunters and WoW. Your hunter guide movies and excellent posts will still be where I turn for little-hunter advice.

That said, I think of anything you’ve posted so far, this post is by far the most creditable. I’ll miss reading your posts, certainly, but your family is so much more important. So Grats Daniel, on making a good decision, on loving your wife and your son, and on making the hard choices that are, in the end, the right ones.

/21 Gun, Explosive Shot Salute

Losing BRK is a huge hole in the WoW Blogging community, akin to losing Phaelia.  We’ve seen some wonderful people make good decisions this spring, choosing their families (in both cases) over a hobby.  Whether that hobby is a video game or a blog, as these both were, or any other type of immersive activity, realizing that you have gotten your priorities upside down from what you think they should be – and then righting them – is never easy but is the right decision.  I will not be removing either blog from my blogroll until they, through the inevitable changes that will happen because of WoW, are no longer applicable to the current game.
