The morning of the all hands summon to the Blasted Lands, Aely went for a walk. The late fall air was clear and cool, and leaves crunched under their feet in the less-traveled parts of the streets. She and Roger took the long way around Old Town, south through Tanner Circle and down Bulwarks, across […]

As mentioned, things are still crazy – my job schedule isn’t settling into anything “scheduled” (I work different hours on different days every week right now), so I’m feeling a little lost at times, trying to continue doing things that I like doing. Like, say, play WoW.

Fortunately, my Cataclysm “list of things to do” is pretty short – I’ve got a monetary goal for my banker which I’m getting close to reaching, and Annylais is 71 and not 80, but that’s really it. I’m not going for Loremaster, and I’m certainly not looking to have Annata fully leveled by then. I’d like to have her to Outlands, but we’ll see how that goes. Otherwise I’m pretty much out of the loop on Cataclysm stuff, since I barely have time to be playing on live, let alone doing much research into what’s coming. I figure we’ll get there when we get there.

Annata reached level 40 last night, and has her new speedy pony (yay!) Leveling without heirlooms is quite a bit longer – so I’m definitely trying to only level her when she’s rested.

My next leveling milestones for her will be finishing the Nesingwary quests in Stranglethorn Vale and then going out to Theramore to do the Defias quest line there. Her investigation of the Syndicate has mostly turned up dead ends with a few very interesting tidbits that she wants to see if there’s a Defias connection for as well.

I had a really awesome random RP moment last night too.

I was up in Alterac doing some of the Syndicate quests with Annata, when I accidentally ended up with a few more baddies than I could really handle. As I prepared myself for a corpse run and looted the quest mob mid-combat, a level 80 Night Elf rogue ambushed the mobs that were beating me up, polishing them off. He then said “Sorry to interrupt!” /bowed, and vanished again. I said something to the effect of “It’s much appreciated, those guys got the jump on me” only to have him say from the shadows “Ravenholdt is nearby”.

I have no idea who he is, but it totally made my evening. Thank you, Random Rogue!

What have you guys been up to?

I’ve got houseguests coming this evening who will be here until mid next week, so probably no posts until then again.

  1. I love reading about Annata’s adventures… I am also leveling a rogue right now, and we seem to be going almost the exact same speed, when you did your level 30ish post my rogue was level 30ish, and now that Annata’s 40 it’s cool that my rogue hit 39 last night.

Anyway, it’s super fun reading about it, since you’re doing quests and I’m doing dungeons, it’s like I get to participate in both almost.

That night elf rogue sounds awesome too! :)
