1.Stroud's family was murdered in the seige of stratholme, the only reason he wasnt' killed himself was he was drafted into Stormwind's royal army, and sent to alterac valley to hold the defense against the horde.
2. reserved and laid back, Stroud usually treats his guild members indifferently, usually flipping a coin to decide whether he'll raid with them today or not.
3.Saddle up, and valiantly ride into stratholme, giving one more shot at vengence, won't be the first time.
4.aside from his family, stroud lost his own life and the lives of 9 other guildmates in an ill-fated attempt at revenge on the scourge that now inhabitated stratholme. nobody heard from Commander Stroud Grenden for decades. he was presumed dead. they were only half-right.
5.i agree with the posts above that the spirit healers and ressurection spells only work on players who still have a vital role in there life to furfill

Kaledain:
1. Kaled is an orphan, his parents died when he was only a year old so he has no memory of them. Khaotic is his family now.
2. Kaled is mostly a loner, the only one he really spends time with is Khaotic, and they are almost inseparable. He does have several friends, and loves to spend time with them and help in any way he can, but after awhile he tends to slip away into the wilds again.
3. He would spend it with Khaotic and his pets, just doing whatever. Then would end the day in Khaotic's arms.
4. Khaotic was lost while fighting with the Frostwolf orcs and presumed dead. When Kaled found out, he was devastated and didn't want to live anymore. His animals helped to pull him through his depression, and he wound up joining with the Frostwolves himself for revenge. He found Khaotic as a prisoner of war when they overthrew Dun Baldar and defeated the dwarves (hey I can dream, right?) and has nursed her back to health, but still deep down he fears that something else will happen to her. This makes him very protective of her. (You can read their whole story so far on my blog.)

Khaotic:
1. She has a good relationship with her family. Though she hardly sees them, she does write to them regularly and keeps in touch that way.
2. She has several friends and likes to hang out with them and help them when they need it, but she usually leaves whatever they're doing when Kaled does. Most of their friends understand and don't hold it against them.
3. She would spend the entire time with Kaled, though she wouldn't tell him she was dying, because she knows it might kill him to know it.
4. Khaotic had one lover while she was a soldier, though their relationship didn't go far past the physical part. He was killed in battle. This is mostly what made her so hard and bitter before she met Kaled; she was afraid to let anyone close again for fear that they would die too.

5. I think as far as death goes, it IS a game, and rules for death and such aren't the same as in RL. Spirit ressing and priest resurrection is perfectly acceptable, though you might look at it as the person falling unconscious and being revived instead of brought back from the dead.

1. Duerma was pretty close to all her family, and it's a good thing that Gnomeregan radiation ate her memories or she might be pretty depressed about it. She's still pretty close to her brother, Noodler.
Corrienda is nearly attached at the hip to her mother. Corri considers her to be her best friend.

 2. Duerma loves everyone and likes to chat it up with everyone. Corrienda is very withdrawn and only speaks when spoken to. It's not that she doesn't like her guild - she's just shy.

 3. Duerma would sppend time with Pizmo and Wynni, but not until she had found something particularly epic to do (LFG Kil'Jaeden?) so she could go out with a bang.

Corrienda would probably be relieved, and would spend her last day with her mother.

 4. Duerma lost her family at Gnomeregan, but we'll skip past that since, as I mentioned earlier, she doesn't really remember it. Later, she was married to a guy named Zandramas, who ended up committing suicide (or so it's assumed). She was ready to divorce him anyways, so it wasn't a HUGE blow, but it was still disquieting and she was somewhat withdrawn for a few months.

Corrienda lost Teldurn, her newfound love, to some mysterious disease. She did NOT take it well - being a Night Elf, she'd had little experience with death, and none with death from pestilence. She traveled the world looking for some way to bring him back, to no avail. Then, for a time, she thought "f--- druidism" and went to study arcane magic with the Shen'dralar - the equivalent of turning to drugs or alcohol in our world. She had a rebound relationship with Galedorin, and after trying out some adventuring in Outland, she pretty much just moved back in with her mother. It's been 2.5 years in RL time, and she's still deeply depressed. I expect that to consider for some time.

 5. I figure it's just a matter of being conked on the head, falling unconcious. There's still a sense of danger in my mind - what if the dragon decided to eat you after knocking you senseless instead of just running off to find something better to do?

In D&D, you don't die when you hit 0 hit points - it's when you reach -10. This doesn't usually apply to NPCs. I figure the same rule goes for WoW. ;)

1. Did/Does your character have a good relationship with his or her family? (as a whole or individually)

Parsi has an ok relationship with his adoptive parents, though he is now less attached to them than he was. Phadris is estranged from his father (his mother is dead), if he is in fact still alive, as he was instrumental in getting Phadris exiled.

 2. How does your character relate to his or her guild and friends?

Parsi is the helpful one, always willing to help out a friend or guildmate with whatever they want to do. Has went out of his way on several occasions to get/do things for people. Phadris is friends with few, and he is only really part of the guild because Parsi is there, no other reason than that. He will however help his friends with no questions asked.

 3. If your character knew he or she would die tomorrow, how would they spend today?

Parsi would probably cry. A lot. He thinks still that he's going to live forever. Phadris would be resigned to it. He's never been really attached to this life.

 4. Has your character ever lost someone close to them? How did they die? How did that affect your character?

Parsi hasn't really lost anyone close, if you still believe Malfurion is still alive. Later in his life he will lose everything though...
Phadris lost his teenage love when he was exiled. And then fell in love with a human, having no concept of mortality. Aerian's death broke him utterly, and he wandered for hundreds of years in a barely conscious fugue. It still haunts him, though he tries not to show it around Parsi.

 5. How do you, as a roleplayer, tackle the question of death in a video game where resurrection spells and spirit healers abound?

Well, in the storyline of Parsi and Phadris, life is tied in time to the departure of soul, so you have a certain amount of time. The idea is that the soul lingers in the body at death, and if you can resurrect them within that short window you can bring them back to life.

Of course not!
