Ok – so I’m fresh out of questions this morning. I’ve been staring at my usual resources for fun character building stuff… and I”m TOTALLY at a loss. I think this week has turned my brains to goulash and it’s leaking out my ears.
So I’m going to pass this off on you guys today! /copout If you have any questions you’d like me to ask, that you think would be fun Friday Five questions, or are curious about me or any of my characters (Annorah the Draenei Shaman, Aelflaed the Human Paladin, Annalira the Human Priest, Angoleth the Night Elf Hunter, and Annylais the Night Elf Druid) – ask away!
I’ll update this post throughout the day with questions (and links back to your blogs if you have them – /linkbait) and answers.

What do your ladies like best about the Feast of Winter Veil?
Is anyone hoping for a particular present from Greatfather Winter? (Or I guess Rirri is waiting on Great-father Winter; the hyphen makes him an orc!)
Well, Aely likes the snow and the pretty lights around town. That, and people fill their houses with those evergreen wreaths that smell so wonderful. Annalira loves getting two weeks off to spend with her family in Hillsbrad, especially now that she’s got two neices and a newborn nephew to visit. Angoleth doesn’t really care either way, and Annorah is prbably in the same boat, being that her celebration of holidays is pretty limited/nonexistant. If anything, Annorah is likely the one to get caught up in the “silly” side of the holiday, with robots and things like that.
As for presents… hmm. Aely is actually hoping to get some new alchemy lab supplies, and possibly a new notebook or two. (and some other things she’s refusing to mention at the moment, but judging by the color of her face, they involve a certain redheaded rogue). Angoleth would really like a new crossbow, and possibly a new stuffed toy for Russ, since the last one she gave him got … uh … dismembered.
From Bricu, the Pretentious Bastard
As their stories have developed, how have your Anna’s changed? Which ways are expected and which makes make you go, “What the hell?”
Figures you’d give me the hard question, but I’ll do my best. Until very recently, I’ve done all my character development on my own, without other people to influence and create catalyst situations, so 90% of this is self imposed (and not that surprising). Which doesn’t mean there aren’t surprises.
Annalira has changed very little, to be honest – she’s somewhat less open than she once was, but getting hurt will do that to people. She’s still sweet and quiet, but I didn’t create Annalira as a character to change, particularly since she’s my experiment (will this work? yes! … ok now what?).
Angoleth has changed a lot – from carefree to careworn. Outland was hard for her, and chronic pain has worn her down. She spent the majority of Burning Crusade drunk and bitter – which is alright with friends, but not fun to play by yourself. I honestly expected her to be retired for good at the end of the Crusade – to see Archimonde killed and wander off into the woods alone to just give up somewhere. Instead she found Russ, and that idiot bear has changed her personality dynamically. She’s still grumpy and cynical, but she’s mostly stopped drinking and isn’t randomly angry at everyone all the time. The bear was a huge surprise for me, mostly because I never expected to see her turn around like that.
Annorah has changed very little, but has slowly grown into a stronger RP presence. Her personality is still coming together, and as it does I’m finding her to be weirder than I originally thought she’d be. She’s almost creepy, particularly if she’s not wearing her eyepatch, in that “this person can see right through me” kind of way – but she manages not to be totally unnerving about it because she won’t call you out – or if she does, it’s in her own cryptic, weird way. She’s not unfriendly but has few friends, and she’s not crazy, just really really tuned in.
And then Aelflaed, my most dynamic character in that she has the biggest possibility for change. She surprises me sometimes, with what she says and how brash she is (she’s way more outgoing than I am) – and yet can turn around and be totally unnerved by someone calling her on something. She’s got a strong protective streak, but doesn’t recognize that sometimes she needs someone to look out for <her> instead. She manages to be both very private and very outgoing at the same time. As for the biggest change she’s undergone (yet), that’s easily her accent. I always knew she had one, since she’s from Terrordale – she’s got Northron AND Backwoods going for her. I just figured her training had beaten it out of her completely, until she started hanging around with the Riders… and then BLAM. Apostrophe abuse all over the place. Her relationship with Phileas is probably going to change things as well, but that’s still so new that it’s hard to really quantify.
