Bad things are happening in Stormwind – and beyond.

The Hand of Lothar, they call themselves.

Yva Darrows was their first target.

Tirith and Aely were their second and third.

They have since… expanded their reach and escalated their methods …

I was noticing the other day that most of my characters have a static set of things in their bags. Most of that is the usual complement of flasks and potions, food, water, and a smattering of profession items and RP gear. All of them have a few actual RP related items though, beyond a quick change of clothes for RP night.

Aely:

  • Gold Wedding Band
  • Antonidas’ Silver Coin (a gift from Arrens)
  • Crusader and Guild Tabards

Annorah:

  • Eyepatch and Goggles
  • Gnomish Army Knife
  • Zapthrottle Mote Extractor (even though it isn’t relevant anymore)

Angoleth is light on the possessions, and really only carries her skinning knife with her always. Technically that’s a profession item, but she’s pretty keen on keeping it, even though she also carries a Gnomish Army Knife. She thinks a proper knife works better.

All of my characters have had specific pets as well – which don’t take up bag space, but are part of their usual “kit”. Aely’s got Roger, her wolfhound, Annorah has Widget her firefly, and Angoleth has… well, Angoleth has lots of pets. Currently she’s keen on Muckbreath, her little crocolisk.

Back in the very first Friday Five, I asked what your character keeps, in character, in their pockets. (And I still think Tarquin had the best answer, both in length, and for “Possibly your wallet”.)

Today I’m asking a somewhat different question:

What does your character keep in their actual, in-game bags, either as flavor items or specifically for RP?

  1. Rashona keeps a stack of Zangarmarsh mushrooms in her bag, because A’ke the sporebat is PICKY about its snacks. And she keeps ALL the archaeology keystones handy, because they are so very very interesting to a bovine history buff…

  2. Kyraine’s got a full service armory in hers, with plate armor, various weapons, and things to keep the various bits cleaned off and sharpened. There’s also bones and treats for Blue the worg/dog mix, hoof picks and horse treats, and a few snacks for Mutiny the dragon. There’s also a grey item Lucky Charm that she got while fishing. She kept it, even though so far it hasn’t brought any good luck.

My draenei priest has kept everything that’s entertaining or that he could use to play a joke on someone. Noggenfogger, snowmen costumes, origami slimes and beetles, snowballs, holiday wands, etc. The paladin’s much more serious, and just has some Holy Symbols from the DI days. They’re useless now, but I can’t give them up. My DK does too much enchanting to have flavor items, but I did get one of those haunted necklaces that gives you a ghost to follow you around, and a voodoo skull for lulz.
