It didn’t take long to get from Thunder Bluff to the Echo Isles – Ankona took advantage of a wyvern so she could think and plan before getting to her destination. She had information to confirm with the spirits – was Gromnor dead? Was he really in the northern part of the Eastern Kingdoms, somewhere […]

Once upon a time, ten Paladins went to Karazhan.

It was so much fun that, a year and a half later, they decided to go see if they couldn’t storm their way through Naxxramas too! So they gathered up as many of their Paladin friends as they could (somewhere between 7 and 10 Paladins were in the group at any given point in the run), set a meeting time, and headed in to have some fun with Kel’Thuzad’s undead minions.

(click any image for the embiggened version!)

Of course, with any raid group, the Paladins had to set up their buffs. This was… very very easy.

After everyone was buffed they all sat down to a delicious fish feast. Everyone knows that fighting on an empty stomach is a bad idea!

Paladins have a few natural born enemies in the world. Among those enemies? Death knights. So of course, any death knights encountered were killed in appropriately shiny fashion. (warning: eyebleed):

Their other natural enemy is, obviously, the undead. Kel’thuzad was probably cowering in fear:

To celebrate his death (and return home, of course), they all participated in the Great Paladin Tradition of Synchronized Bubblehearthing.

And it was AWESOME.

  1. Bwee! I wish Val and I could have sent Nancie and Vaelen along. They love smiting! 😀

  2. HAHAHAHAH!! Wonderful! Would love to figure out a way for 10 priests to run an instance. 😉

  3. Aww! I want to do Pallinaxx! I don’t know enough pallies, but my guild has a good start… 2 ret, 1 prot, 2 holy. Need Moar Pally!

  4. I never had Tarelyn a high enough level to go to Pallyzhan. I was so happy to be able to go to Pallyramas!

  5. @Itanya – It was pretty awesome, and I’m glad you came. If only because the cackling on vent totally made the whole thing worth it. Especially on that particularly… ill fated Thaddius pull…

  6. Nice.

Y’know what challenge I will probably never get to do, sadly, before Catacylsm makes it less impressive?

Run 5 gnomes, in appropriate level brackets, through Gnomeregan. The lack of a healer would make that truly challenging; you’d need to use extensive potions, first aid, and probably rotate a pair of warrior tanks.

Anyway. What would be a more doable run like that would be an All Druid team. Like Paladins, Druids can tank, DPS, and heal.

  8. @Sethial – http://toomanyannas.com/raiding/annas-in-combat-ui/ ta-da!

  9. Nahyomi is bawling. She’s so sad that THIS was the week I took off playing WoW.

So. Can I interest anyone in a 10-pally attack on OS? Onyxia?

  10. Hmm. 10 pallys vs. Onyxia would make for a REALLY long phase 2. I bet we could do Sarth though!

  11. Awesomes!

Wish there were some way fer ta do this with 10 warriors…

  12. This kind of stuff makes me wish I could level a pally. Maybe next year Davoss will be high enough to come play too.

Also I would totally be in on an all-druid thing. \o/

  13. Back in vanilla, we used to have races through DM wings using pure-class groups. Usually, the paladins or druids won (even though bears were not great tanks at all in those days, and all the paladins were holy). You know what the only other class that ever won was? The warriors. What’s more, they were almost always second, often by a matter of seconds.

If anyone wants to do an all-druid or all-paladin run of anything I’m in.

  14. I haz a pally. I am totally up for anything, work permitting. (for that matter, I would be game for any all-druid stuff too) It sounds like it was a total blast 😀

  15. @Nahyomi

Back in vanilla, we did a 10 pally UBRS which was hilarious and very successful (I finally got my sodding Lightforge BP after I dunno how many regular runs). We posted shots on the FM forums and a bunch of hordie warriors including Linedan who (used to?) have has his own blog and posts here, decided to emulate. Awesome times and they did well with much abuse of retaliation.

    @Anna and Co.

I was sorry to miss this. I really enjoyed the original Pallyzhan but sadly life and work have taken me away from such fun, Im over the moon it was a success and you all had a blast.

  16. well i don’t know if you can raid as a priest but it have to be in a place with lots of UD or humans so you can MC the mobs the boss well you need 1 shadowpriest in HIGH stamina gear (tank) and i guess 4 shadowpriest in his group and i think a mix of dicipline and holy to keep him topped off)

anyway back at vanilla time we did a Stratholm Baron side with 1shadow 4 holy priest it was DOOABLE but not somthing i recomend….

but there is places where 10x Shackles or 10x MC is usefull the adds are not a problem as long as they are humans or UD …..

the bosses tho you must look out for bosses that have a high dps or silencing effects that might kill you outright …

2 shadowpriest in pvp gear (crit immune from Resilence) could be the tanks you need.
