Always, always, always look stuff up

So yesterday I was chatting with a few people about the Fire Festival business, and one of them mentioned her tiny fire elemental pet.
*perk*
“Wait, you mean I can get one? I thought it was just the little red glowy thing.”
“Nope, he’s called Tiny Scorchling - looks like the little guys you give the incense to”
<internally> WOOHOOO!
“Oh wow, ok, I guess I’ll have to do all this with Annorah then”
And off I went, trundling my happy butt around Outland, all of Kalimdor, and enough of the Eastern Kingdoms to get my 350 flowers.
When I got to the vendor, however, there was no scorchling. Just the little red glowy.
<internally> wut?
So I went and checked out Warcraft Pets. And the scorchling? Yeah - he’s a drop off Ahune. Like the sinister squashling from Hallow’s End. Which means my chances of getting the one pet in the game that would suit Annorah more perfectly than her firefly are absolutely zilch.
*sighs*
Annorah has a particularly volatile relationship with the element Fire - he’s the one responsible for her loss of vision in one eye… but he’s also the one responsible for her ability to farsee into the future. So they have their arguments. And I was looking forward to writing up some kind of epic reconciliation/mending/thing with them, and then her having the tiny fire elemental pet/guardian. I’m not sure that’s going to be possible.
I think I’ll go console myself by grinding XP in Blades Edge or something (Aelflaed is 40% through 68. I think I just might make it)

Did I miss something? Why is it that your chance to get the pet is “absolutely zilch”?
I actually saw the scorchling drop yesterday. I lost the roll
@Gryphonheart, the drop chance is around 1.5%… not zilch, but very small indeed.
I’d have to actually get a group for Ahune (unlikely, being that I’m not the right kind of healer), AND have it drop, AND win the roll. >.< not so good with the odds.
