In Which Annorah Steps On Her Soapbox

Gentle Readers :
It’s Draenei. D-R-A-E-N-E-I.
Three consonants. Four vowels. I realize that this word is an unusual one, as your language does not usually have dipthongs (combinations of vowels) like that. We have, however, been in major areas of Azeroth for at least 18 months now; I do not expect immediate understanding of our language, [...]
Ancestral Healing and You

Ancestral healing is a talent in the second tier of the Restoration tree for Shamans.
Ancestral Healing:
Increases your target’s armor value by 8/16/25% for 15 seconds after getting a critical effect from one of your healing spells.
The buff that is placed on your target is called Ancestral Fortitude.

This is one of those bread-and-butter resto talents [...]
Leveling your Shaman (part 2)
Posted on August 7, 2008 - Filed Under Guides, Shaman | 6 Comments
One of the favorite posts here at Too Many Annas continues to be the “Be a Shamanistic Genius while you Level” post about how to tackle being a beginner shaman for the very first time. Obviously not everything was covered there (or will be here), but there are some things I can definitely add to [...]

So it’s come up a couple of times recently that people notice that their raid shamans aren’t using Nature’s Swiftness as often as their druidic counterparts.
*raises hand*
Guilty as charged.
In an attempt to rectify this, and hopefully motivate myself to be less likely to “save it for an o-shit moment” (and therefore use it once in [...]

This week’s silly song is brought to you by Jagerbombz, frequent commenter and writer of the awesome shaman blog Hoof’n’Heals. Jager’s got a set of Karazhan guides (that go into a bit more detail than mine, and are geared towards any healer, not just shamans) as well as some rather amusing PVP tips.
ANYway, if [...]
Totems Everyone Forgets: Windwall
Posted on July 23, 2008 - Filed Under Guides, Shaman | 5 Comments
Interestingly enough, as I was doing this research, I discovered that Blizzard agrees with the general consensus that this totem is useless. Unfortunately that means that the post I’ve written on the subject is somewhat moot right now, and will be completely obsolete in a few months.
Oh well - perhaps I get points for creativity?

Actually, the winners ARE:

My new forum title of choice?
Brain Heals from Space
Much love to you all. There were a number of fantastic choices, and my decision changed [...]

Ok - are you back now?
Good.
Here’s the thing. I’ve been invited to help out as a moderator for the Shaman forums. [...]

Vonya, the fabulous Egotistical Priest, has written up a fantastic overview/guide to Meatballs. Er… Earthshields, that is.
I think the only thing she says that I disagree with is that the change from 10 charges at higher mana to 6 charges at lower mana was a good trade off… but then I was spoiled by the [...]
Totems Everyone Forgets: Tranquil Air
Posted on July 7, 2008 - Filed Under Guides, Raiding, Shaman | 3 Comments
Ok - so this is geared more towards my Alliance readers, as many of my Horde readers will have raided without paladins and therefore are much more familiar with Tranquil Air totem. As Alliance, though, Blessing of Salvation is something we’ve come to expect and rely on for threat reduction, so most of us [...]
