One of the things that made the WFR's Wrathgate writing so successful was the use of Italics posts. These were the guide posts to the canon. We encouraged everyone to respond to the events in the Italics--events that were drawn directly from the cinematic.

For Icecrown/End of Wrath RP, I'd strongly suggest organizing events--writing, raids--using something akin to our Italics posts. As Anna said earlier, 5-folk ICC is public knowledge. Start there. Write up a guide post and ask your guildies to respond to those events.

As for ICC-10, I start with each wing and either 1) run an IC raid or 2) Come up with italics posts that set out to explore the content. You may have to ignore or explain away various inconsistencies (We killed Marrowgar last week, why is he back? Oh, right, he was reassembled!) but the RP your guild will create out weighs those problems.
